This privacy policy describes how My Website Local (a service of Everywhere Systems) collects, uses, and protects your information.

What we collect

• Public business information. Your business name, location, phone number, email, photos, services, and reviews — only as listed publicly on Google or other public business directories.
• Engagement data. Whether you opened our email, clicked our link, or replied to our SMS. This helps us understand which messaging works and stop contacting you if you'd prefer not to hear from us.
• Information you give us directly. If you reply, fill out a contact form, or sign up to make your preview website live, we keep what you send us.

What we do not collect

• We do not buy, sell, or trade lists of contact details.
• We do not collect anything from your business's private internal systems.
• We do not use third-party advertising trackers on our preview pages.

How we use it

• To build a preview website tailored to your business.
• To send you that preview by email or SMS.
• To follow up if you've shown interest, and stop following up if you haven't or have asked us not to.
• To make your website live and operate it, if you choose to activate it.

How long we keep it

If you don't engage with us, we delete your preview and contact details within 90 days. If you do become a customer, we keep your business information for as long as we operate your live website, plus a reasonable period after for record-keeping (typically up to 7 years for tax purposes per Australian law).

Removing your data

You can ask us to remove your data at any time. Email hello@mywebsitelocal.com with the subject line "Remove my data" and we'll confirm removal within 7 business days.

Sharing with third parties

We use a small number of trusted service providers to operate this service: hosting (Netlify, Cloudflare), database (Supabase), email and SMS delivery (varies). They process data on our behalf only and are bound by their own privacy policies. We do not share your information with any other parties for any other purpose.

Your rights under Australian Privacy Principles

If you are an Australian resident, you have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, request corrections, and complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au if you believe we have mishandled your information.
